Job Description:The Senior Category Specialist position is a highly collaborative role on the Workhuman Ecommerce team that partners on cross-functional initiatives to define and execute catalog, promotional, and supplier partnership strategies.  In this role, you will focus on optimizing a wide assortment of merchandise while building successful long-term relationships with a breadth of suppliers, all backed by a deep understanding of sales trends and business analytics.  What we can offer you  <ul><li>Build strong relationships with suppliers to maximize our mutual business growth and deliver on revenue and profitability goals </li><li>Drive ongoing pricing (permanent and temporary/promotional) negotiations and related partnership programs with suppliers </li><li>Build and manage a pipeline for sourcing brand marketing funds while coordinating cross-functional execution of placements and campaigns </li><li>Partner with promotional merchandising team to drive integrated pricing and marketing opportunities into curated experiences  </li><li>Proactively identify and implement supplier and catalog management process improvements in partnership with Merchandising, Operations, and Product teams </li><li>Create, maintain and utilize a range of business reports and analyses to understand trends and drivers, effectively communicating insights among colleagues, team leaders and external partners </li></ul>The skills you bring <ul><li>4&#43; years of Retail / ECommerce / Merchandising or Consulting experience </li><li>Demonstrated expertise in pricing strategy and Net Revenue Management (NRM) levers, including trade terms, promo optimization, mix management, and profitability improvement initiatives.</li><li>Strong commercial acumen with advanced capability in pricing negotiations and applying Net Revenue Management (NRM) levers to optimize margin, shape demand, and drive sustainable revenue growth.</li><li>Experience driving ongoing pricing (permanent and promotional) negotiations, leveraging Net Revenue Management (NRM) principles, such as price-pack architecture, promo ROI analysis, and trade terms optimization to enhance profitability and long-term supplier value.</li><li>Proven ability to apply Net Revenue Management (NRM) frameworks across pricing, promotion, mix, and trade investments, using data-driven insights to inform negotiation strategies and maximize commercial outcomes.</li><li>Skilled to an advanced level in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulae, data visualization using graphs and charts, etc.) </li><li>Experience working in cloud-based analytics and data visualization tools </li><li>Experience with Ecommerce systems/tools (product information management, supplier/partner management, etc.) a plus </li><li>Excellent project management skills, ability to juggle multiple workstreams with complex interdependencies and tight deadlines </li><li>You are articulate and have persuasive written and verbal communication, with a strong ability to engage with C-suite level contacts and negotiate effectively with key stakeholders. </li></ul>Benefits: <ul><li>25 days annual leave, increasing with years of service</li><li>Company plan VHI Health Care &amp; Dental cover for employee, partner and children</li><li>Pension commencing from day one and matched up to 5% after the probation period.</li><li>Income Protection</li><li>Life Assurance</li><li>We live our values and that includes being super-users of our own recognition program, Workhuman Spark®.</li><li>Discounted gift certificates</li><li>Discounted TaxSaver Travel cards/free car parking (subject to availability)</li><li>Access to our Tuition Reimbursement Scheme</li><li>Access to Workhuman University</li><li>Workhuman employees are offered up to one paid day volunteering per year.</li><li>Access to a fully equipped, state of the art onsite gym and fitness area wit shower facilities</li><li>Ability to participate in onsite regular gym classes led by professional instructors including spin, yoga, and HIIT</li><li>The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is a confidential service available to all Workhuman employees from your first day of employment and is free of charge.</li><li>Free breakfast cereal, fruit, pastries, tea/coffee, lunch, fantastic catered events throughout the year etc.</li></ul>#LI-Hybrid<h2></h2>The Company:At Workhuman® our mission is to bring more humanity to the workplace.
