I am a super proud mum of an amazing 8-year-old girl named Iga and the owner of a funny Boston Terrier puppy named Luna. My life is a whirlwind of activity, energy, and joy, filled with my daughter's laughter and my puppy's playful barks; there’s never a dull moment in our house.

I love adventure, particularly exploring the great outdoors through camping and kayaking. Recently, I discovered a passion for gardening. What started as a small hobby quickly grew into a full-blown obsession. Watching my small garden flourish satisfies me, and I’ve found so much joy in nurturing my plants and seeing them thrive.

For the past 16 years, I have dedicated my career to the retail industry. It all began when I moved to Ireland when I was only 19 and quickly discovered my passion for working with people and customers. There was something magnetic about retail that drew me in, and I knew I wanted to build my career in this field. Over the years, I progressed to a Store Manager, where I discovered a new passion: the HR side of my role.

As a Store Manager, I learned the value of employee recognition and the significant impact company culture can have on team morale and productivity. This newfound interest in HR led me to seek out companies that prioritise these values.

To do this research, I joined LinkedIn to stay on top of industry news and career opportunities in the HR. This led me to discover Workhuman, a company committed to recognition and positive workplace culture. When I saw an opening for a Customer Service position for a Polish speaker, I knew it was the perfect opportunity for me. The position not only aligned with my language skills but also resonated with my passion for creating positive employee experiences.

The recruitment process at Workhuman was a refreshing and engaging experience from start to finish. Shortly after submitting my application, I received an email from the Recruitment team inviting me to a Zoom interview. During the video call, we discussed with Stephen Cronin my background, experience, and why I was interested in Workhuman. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the company and the open role.

I was then invited to a more in-depth interview with the Operations manager and two Team Leads, focusing on my experience in retail and how I handle customer service scenarios. The hiring manager - Elizabeth Diosdado was super friendly and made me feel comfortable, which helped ease my nerves.

I then received a call from Stephen with the exciting news that I was being offered the position. I was thrilled!

From the initial phone call to the final interview, every conversation felt so authentic and respectful. The interviewers were genuinely interested in getting to know me, my background, experiences, and life aspirations. This created a welcoming atmosphere and made me feel valued.

On my first day at Workhuman, I was impressed by the warm welcome I received from Megan Landers, who oversaw the onboarding process. The quick tour of the two buildings was so impressive. I got to see the vibrant workspace, visit the canteen, and learn about the free coffee and meals offered to all employees! The on-site gym was another fantastic benefit that caught my attention. From day one, I had a sense of belonging and knew I had joined a company that truly values its employees.

Since starting, I have undergone customer service training with Niall Ralph. From the moment I met him, I knew it was going to be a wonderful experience. Niall's passion for his role is evident, as well as his enthusiasm and humour make the learning process enjoyable. I look forward to applying what I have learned and contributing to the team’s success.

Professionally, I am excited to deliver exceptional customer service experiences. I aim to build strong relationships with our customers and ensure their needs are met with efficiency and empathy. Workhuman prioritises continuous learning and development, and I am excited to grow through ongoing training, new challenges and further education. I want to grow both personally and professionally.

I am excited for the future, I see opportunities to immerse myself in collaborative projects and team initiatives that will sharpen my interpersonal abilities. Whether it’s through engaging with colleagues across different departments or listening to customer feedback, I want to learn from every interaction and continually improve.

Workhuman offers opportunities for career growth, and I also believe that joining Workhuman isn’t about a job, it is about joining a community of passionate individuals shaping the future of work through recognition, inclusion, and innovation.
