Hi there! I’m Ashley and I’ve been with Workhuman over 7 years. I have two wonderful kids, Winnie, who’s 5, and Jack, who’s 3. They keep me on my toes and fill my life with joy. I’m also a huge foodie and craft beer lover—I absolutely love trying new restaurants and exploring different breweries. Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies, and surprisingly, I really enjoy cleaning. It’s therapeutic for me. Oh, and I’ve been happily married to my amazing husband, Paul, for nine years this August. Our journey together has been filled with love and adventure.

Having kids and buying a home have been significant milestones in my life. These experiences have pushed me to focus more on being the best I can be at what I do, so I can support my family and make a good living. They’ve given me a sense of purpose and drive that fuels my professional journey every day.

Right out of college, I found myself working in outside sales, even though I majored in business and marketing. For four years, I thrived in that role, and Workhuman, then known as Globoforce, was actually one of my clients. I worked closely with Laury D’Oliveira and was always impressed by the office culture and environment at Workhuman. So, when I decided to make a career move, I knew exactly where I wanted to be. I applied to Workhuman, got the job, and seven years later, I’m still loving it here.

What initially attracted me to the BDR role was the inside sales aspect. I loved the idea of not having to travel extensively or spend my days in a car. Plus, the leadership team at Workhuman is fantastic and provides a supportive and growth-oriented environment.

When I started as a BDR, I worked as a corporate BDR. Over time, I transitioned to cover three enterprise reps and am now in a senior BDR role. Mentoring my fellow BDRs has been incredibly rewarding, and attending President’s Club for two consecutive years is one of my proudest achievements. The COVID-19 pandemic presented significant challenges. Working from home for extended periods and navigating the uncertainties of that time was tough. Despite these challenges, our team remained resilient, and business continued to thrive.

If you asked my team members to describe me in three words, they’d probably say I’m organized, self-motivated, and happy! I strive to bring positivity and structure to everything I do, and I’m always driven to achieve my best.

Looking ahead, I see Workhuman continuing to grow exponentially. Workhuman is celebrating 25 years in business this year and it’s amazing to reflect on how much we’ve expanded in the past seven years. I’m also excited about our recent move to our even bigger and better office. Our new office is incredible and truly demonstrates how we put the human and the center of everything we do. There is a workspace no matter how you prefer to work (solo workspaces, group collab spaces etc), wellbeing rooms, a gym and even a sport simulator machine. And these are only a few of the details!

To stay up to date with industry trends, I use Google Alerts and constantly check LinkedIn. I also improve my skills by engaging with my peers, learning from their experiences, and sharing best practices through Slack and Teams. Our team is excellent at supporting each other and sharing what works.

Workhuman is truly the best place to be. The culture here is unlike any other company I know. When I talk to friends in the tech industry, they often seem so stressed out and are jealous that my job isn’t stressful at all. I love what I do and the work-life balance at Workhuman is perfect, especially for parents. I enjoy working from home three days a week and coming into the office twice a week. It’s easy to excel in your role when you love what you’re selling.
