How Grateful Are You?

In today’s showy culture, it can be easy to lose sight of what really matters during the holidays. Seeing those perfectly filtered photos of Thanksgiving meals or reading announcements with the hashtag #blessed can start to feel like the exact opposite of thankfulness and gratitude.

But what is the opposite of gratitude? According to gratitude expert and WorkHuman 2015 speaker Robert Emmons, it’s entitlement: “Gratitude helps us see that we are the recipients of much more than we are entitled do; an attitude of entitlement says it’s never enough.”
