Restaurant and bars are so vital to our communities and celebrations. And while we’re missing the social interaction and tasty eats of our local hangouts, those who serve us are grappling with the more serious issues of unemployment and the uncertainty of when things will turn.

Our three guests – Yvan Lemoine, founder and owner of Akin Hospitality Group in New York City; Dave Houghton, general manager at Winthrop’s Blackstrap BBQ and podcaster at Drunken Opinion; and Thea Engst, lead bartender at Lone Star Taco Bar in Cambridge and co-author of “Drink Like a Bartender” – share how they’re coping with this drastic adjustment and how they’re sustaining hope for the changed future.
