Staying Connected: Tips for Building a Culture of Continuous Feedback

In a new world order where working together in an office setting is no longer an option – a world in which it may be months before you even see your manager – the case for frequent check-ins has become more powerful than ever. Today, the need for continuous, one-to-one feedback has taken on a new importance, and is clearly the most effective model for achieving truly effective performance management.

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic changed life as we know it, traditional companies had already been moving away from the annual review to a continuous performance management approach. In fact, in today’s new reality, the idea of an annual review – with its one-time rating system and dearth of peer feedback – seems archaic.

With that in mind, here are some helpful tips for putting in place a truly effective performance management process – one that can thrive in the world we live and work in today.
