Experienced brand strategist and results-oriented marketer to lead company’s global marketing efforts

, a leading provider of social recognition solutions, today announced the appointment of Jennifer Smith as chief marketing officer. In this role, Smith will lead all aspects of the company’s global marketing efforts, including defining and executing marketing strategies, brand growth, demand generation, and communications. Smith will report to Globoforce chief executive officer Eric Mosley.
Smith brings almost 20 years of international marketing experience to Globoforce. As a seasoned marketing executive, she most recently served as senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Avid Technology, where she re-established the company’s market leadership position including the growth of their platform adoption and the launch of the company’s digital presence. Previously, Smith was senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Progress Software, where she led a successful company rebranding initiative that significantly increased recognition and awareness for the company. With a proven track record of developing innovative marketing programs that deliver bottom-line results, Smith has an aptitude for identifying market opportunities and inspiring award-winning campaigns. In addition, Smith brings a depth of international experience to Globoforce, having worked in marketing leadership roles for companies such as PeopleSoft and Microsoft in Europe.
