Globoforce Named to National Great Place to Work List
Company ranked #25 among the top 50 in the United States
SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass., and DUBLIN, Ireland – September 19, 2013 –
), a leading provider of social recognition solutions, was named by Great Place to Work® as one of the best small and medium workplaces in the United States on their annual 2013 Best Small & Medium Workplaces list, published today in FORTUNE magazine. Ranked number 25, this is the first time Globoforce has received this honor. Divided into two categories, Small (50-250 employees) and Medium (251-999 employees), the list has recognized companies with exceptional workplace cultures for the past ten years.
Competing against hundreds of companies across the country, Globoforce participated in a rigorous selection process, which included an employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about benefits programs and company practices. Great Place to Work Institute evaluates each application using its unique methodology based on five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
In compiling the list, Great Place to Work has found that employees believe they work for great organizations when they consistently trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do, and enjoy the people they work with. Globoforce was recognized for its commitment to employee motivation and happiness, with its emphasis on culture and recognition as the basis for the award. The employee survey revealed that 97 percent of Globoforce’s employees feel appreciated at work, 99 percent want to remain at the company for a long time, and a full 100 percent say they’re proud to tell others where they work.
According to Great Place to Work, organizations named on the list see many benefits that include better financial performance, less employee turnover, higher levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, more innovative and creative thinking, higher productivity and enhanced public perception.
“The success of our company is largely dependent on the happiness and engagement of our people,” said Eric Mosley, CEO of Globoforce. “By building a true culture of recognition and collaboration, we are proud to say we have created a workforce that is motivated to succeed at the highest possible levels. Our people bring this same motivation to creating successful recognition programs for our customers around the world.”
