Globoforce Announces Executive Appointments to Support Company's Strong Growth
Carol Meyers and Derek Irvine tapped to lead marketing and client strategy divisions
SOUTHBOROUGH, MASS., and DUBLIN, IRELAND – October 12, 2010 – Globoforce, the world's leading provider of global, strategic employee recognition solutions, today announced two executive appointments to lead the company into the next decade. Carol Meyers has joined Globoforce as its new chief marketing officer while Derek Irvine has been named the company's vice president of client strategy and consulting. Both divisional leadership appointments are designed to support the company's continued growth and its ongoing commitment to client consulting and enrichment.
In her role as chief marketing officer, Carol Meyers will lead Globoforce's global marketing strategy and communications. Reporting to Globoforce CEO Eric Mosley, she will guide the company's brand, category positioning, and market roadmap.
In his role as vice president of client strategy and consulting, Derek Irvine will lead Globoforce's client strategy and consulting division. The division enables clients to become -class experts through a mix of best practices, training and education, interactive workshops, communication programs, and thought leadership. A cornerstone of the division is Globoforce In*sight, the company's strategic consulting services arm. Announced earlier this year, the In*sight provides companies with a powerful and results-driven blueprint to implement successful strategic recognition programs.

During her 20+ year career, Meyers has led the marketing efforts for some of the fastest- growing companies in the U.S. Prior to Globoforce, she was the chief marketing officer for LogMeIn, where she launched the company's first social marketing and branding initiatives and also helped pave the way for its successful IPO in 2009. Prior to LogMeIn, Meyers was chief marketing officer for Unica Corporation, where she played a pivotal role in growing the company's revenue to more than $100M in 2007. Meyers currently sits on the advisory boards of Virtual Computer, SocialRep, and AppAssure.
Derek Irvine has been a leader with Globoforce for more than 10 years. During this time, he helped catapult the company to its current standing as the world's leading provider of strategic employee recognition solutions for enterprise-level companies. He has worked with some of the world's most admired companies to achieve a higher ambition for their recognition programs. Irvine is regarded as one of the industry's preeminent authorities and experts on employee engagement and recognition.
