MAKING WORK HUMAN BOOK GIVEAWAY TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

 

1. TERMS AND ACCEPTANCE

The Making Work Human book promotion (“Promotion”) is designed to randomly reward Participants that (i) “like” the Making Work Human book giveaway post on Sponsor’s Instagram or McGraw Hill’s Twitter and (ii) “tag” a friend at work in comments on the Marking Work Human book giveaway post. The Promotion begins October 8, 2020 and ends on October 15, 2020 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time (“Promotion Term”). The terms and conditions outlined herein will govern the Promotion for the Promotion Term. Participation in the Promotion constitutes full and unconditional agreement to these terms and conditions.

 

2. ELIGIBILITY

  • The Promotion is only available to U.S. residents, 21 years of age or older and that satisfy the other conditions set forth herein (“Participants”).
  • Employees of Sponsor as well as the immediate family (spouse, parent, sibling, and child) and household members of each such employee are not eligible.
  • In order to be eligible, Participants must (i) “like” the Making Work Human book giveaway post on Sponsor’s Instagram or McGraw Hill’s Twitter and (ii) “tag” a friend at work in comments on the Marking Work Human book giveaway post. No other means of entry will be accepted for the Promotion.
  • Submissions must be made before the end of the Promotion Term.

 

3. PURCHASE

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER THE PROMOTION.

 

4. PRIZES

The prize offered for each eligible winner of the Promotion will be one (1) copy of the book Making Work Human.

 

5. PRIZE DRAW/NOTIFICATION

The winners will be selected by October 16, 2020. Six (6) participants will be selected at random by Sponsor to win the eligible prizes. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries submitted during the Promotion Term. The winners will be announced on social media (Instagram and Twitter) by Sponsor and McGraw Hill. Winners will also be notified via direct message sent to the Winner’s Instagram or Twitter account. Within seven (7) calendar days following receipt of notification of winning, the winner must confirm acceptance of the prize and provide Sponsor with a physical address for delivery of the prize in accordance with the instructions provided by Sponsor or McGraw Hill. Where applicable, winners may also be required to execute a standard Affidavit of Eligibility and complete any applicable tax documents. If the winner fails to provide an email or physical address for delivery or fails to complete any required documentation within seven (7) calendar days, then they may forfeit their right to claim the prize and Sponsor may select a new winner. Upon acceptance of the prize and receipt of a physical address for delivery, Sponsor or a third party engaged by Sponsor, will send the prize and any additional details required for redemption to the winners.

 

6. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS

Prizes may not be transferred or assigned and must be accepted as awarded. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value for any reason as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

 

7. MODIFICATION/NOTICE

Sponsor may suspend, modify, or terminate the Promotion, in whole or in part, for any reason, at any time.

 

8. TAXES AND ACCESS FEES

Winners are responsible for reporting and/or paying any applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with receiving a prize as a result of participation in the Promotion. Participants are responsible for any applicable telephone or internet access fees that they incur while participating in the Promotion.

 

9. AUDIT

Sponsor may audit all prize claims. Participants shall cooperate and assist Sponsor with any audit. Participants are liable to Sponsor for the dollar value of any prize and any costs associated with any violation or misuse of the Promotion by the Participant.

 

10. RESPONDENT INFORMATION

Information collected from Participants is subject to the terms of Sponsor’s privacy policy at http://www.workhuman.com/privacy-policy/.

 

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

All rights to any trademarks, logos, phrases, titles, or other content used in connection with the Promotion (“Sponsor Intellectual Property”) are the exclusive property of the Sponsor. Participants may not sell, license, rent, copy, distribute, alter, display, or transmit any of Sponsor’s Intellectual Property.

 

12. NO LIABILITY

By participating in the Promotion, all respondents agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and its respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from and against any claims made by any respondent, or any other third parties, related in any way to the operation of the Promotion as well as any other claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from receipt, acceptance, possession, misuse or use of a prize or participation in the Promotion.

 

13. ADDITIONAL TERMS

Sponsor is not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any material; late, lost, misdirected or incomplete entries; undeliverable prize notification emails, unclaimed or undelivered prizes or for any computer, software, telecommunications network, website or electronic defect, error or failure regardless of reason. All promotions are governed by, and will be construed in accordance with, the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. The exclusive jurisdiction and venue for proceedings involving claims or disputes arising hereunder shall be the courts of competent jurisdiction sitting within Suffolk County, Massachusetts. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. The offer under any Promotion is void where prohibited by law.
